Obituary for Thomas William Rank
Thomas W. Rank, 64, of Sheboygan Falls passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, April 27, 2017 at his home.
Tom was born on August 3, 1952 in Manitowoc to William and Irma (Kornelly) Rank. He is a 1970 graduate of Lincoln High School. Tom married Candice Kappelman on October 21, 1972 in Two Rivers. Tom was a dedicated employee at Kohler Company for over 40 years.
Tom served as the president of the Purple Martin Association, was an avid outdoor and wildlife photographer, enjoyed hunting, fishing, and going on road trips with his wife Candy. Above all, Tom cherished spending time with his family and making the most of life.
Tom is survived by his wife, Candice; his daughter, Amy (Scott) Krimmel of Cascade; three grandchildren, Brandon, Kendra, and Collin; brothers and sisters, Barbara (Horst) Abel of Manitowoc, Greg (Pat) Rank of Phelps, and Patricia (fiancé Tom) Tarpley of Whitewater; one sister-in-law, Joyce Rank of Plymouth; and three brothers-in-law, Glenn (Margaret) Kappleman of Two Rivers, Dale (Faye) Kappleman of Two Rivers, and Paul (Linda) Kappleman Two Rivers. He is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives, friends, and his faithful companion Riley.
Tom was preceded in death by his parents, William & Irma Rank; his twin brother, Terrance Rank; his parents-in-law, Melvin and Doris Kappleman; his brother-in-law, Harry Tarpley; and his daughter Sarah Soucheck.
A memorial service to celebrate Tom’s Life will be held at the Wenig Funeral Home in Oostburg on Monday, May 8, 2017, at 7pm with Rev. David VanDixhorn officiating.
Relatives and friends may gather at the Wenig Funeral Home in Oostburg to greet the family from 4pm until the time of service at 7pm.
A memorial fund has been established in Tom’s name.
