Obituary for Jerome Kenneth "Jerry" Kubiak

Jerome K. “Jerry” Kubiak, 92, of Milwaukee, passed away on Monday, October 24, 2016 at Sharon S. Richardson Community Hospice in Sheboygan Falls.
Jerry was born on February 6, 1924 in Milwaukee to Herman and Vivian (Gradecki) Kubiak. He proudly served his country during WWII in the United States Army. In 1945 he married Sophie Koldys. Jerry enjoyed 32 years of retirement with his wife after working for Northwestern Mutual Life Insurance Company.
Jerry was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Hales Corners. He enjoyed watching sports and during his younger years enjoyed playing golf and bowling. Jerry loved spending time with his wife, family and attending family gatherings.
He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Sophie; daughter, Sharon (Tom) Reilly of Kohler; grandchildren, Colleen (Joel) Stratton of DePere, and Michael Reilly of Milwaukee; great grandchildren, Miles and Max Stratton; additional family, Jim (Cindy) Reilly of Thiensville, Jackie Reilly of Boston, Matthew Reilly of Dallas, James Reilly of Madison, Mary Reilly of Minneapolis and Christian Reilly of Thiensville.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
A mass of Christian Burial to celebrate Jerry’s life will be held on Friday, November 4, 2016 at 12 pm at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Kohler, with Rev. Bob Lotz officiating. Entombment will be at St. Adalbert’s Catholic Cemetery in Milwaukee.
Relatives and friends may greet the family on Friday, November 4, 2016 at the church from 11am until the time of service at noon.
A memorial fund is being established in Jerry’s name.
The family wishes to extend a heartfelt thank you to the staff of Sharon S. Richardson Community Hospice for all of the care and compassion that they gave to Jerry.
