Obituary for Carol Mae Knepprath (Nytes)

Carol M. Knepprath, 78, of Adell, passed away on Wednesday, May 25, 2016, at St. Vincent Hospital in Green Bay.
Carol was born on May 3, 1938, in Sheboygan, daughter of Walter Sr. and Margaret (Korff) Nytes. On October 24, 1959, she married Robert E. Knepprath in Lake Church. Robert passed away on April 14, 2010. Carol was employed with Tecumseh for 12 years. She also was employed with Allen Edmonds for five years, Luigi’s Pizza for three years, and Holiday Trim for seven years and Tolibia Cheese for four years.
Carol was a member of Blessed Trinity Parish in Sheboygan Falls. She was active with the Adell Senior Center and was a Meal’s on Wheels volunteer. Carol enjoyed bingo, casinos, knitting, adult coloring, reading, great-grandchildren, and was a fan of the Green Bay Packers.
Carol is survived by her two daughters, Debra Arndt of Plymouth and Linda (Joel) Dulmes of Gibbsville; her son, James (Sara) Knepprath of Waldo; five grandchildren, Lisa (Jason) Medinger, Samantha (fiancé Josh Marx)Arndt, Brooke Dulmes, Jerrid (special friend Katie Werner) Dulmes, Brady (fiancé Jennie Hopeman) Dulmes and six special grandchildren, Logan, Hannah, Luke, Elizabeth, Alex, and Spencer; a special niece, Kelly; a special friend, Sr. Colette (Linda) Hubing of Kokomo, IN; six great-grandchildren, Hunter, Carter, Madilyn, Isabella, Charlotte, and Joseph; three sisters, Rosie (Harold) Whipple of Sheboygan, Lucy Gilsdorf of Charlesburg, and Donna (Greg) Blanke of Sheboygan Falls; two brothers, Walter Nytes Jr. of Sheboygan and Ernest (Sherri) Nytes of Plymouth; two sisters-in-law, Marion Schmidt of Sheboygan Falls and Marion Knepprath of Sheboygan Falls; one brother-in-law, William (Loretta) Knepprath of Saukville; and many nieces and nephews.
Carol was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Robert, her parents, her sister, Lorraine (Zernie) Brown, twin infant brothers, one sister-in-law, Julie Nytes, and two brothers-in-law, Richard Gilsdorf and Delmar Schipper.
A Mass of Christian Burial to celebrate Carol’s life will be held at 10:00 am on Saturday, May 28, 2016, at Blessed Trinity Parish in Sheboygan Falls with Rev. Bob Lotz officiating. Burial will take place at St. Patrick’s Catholic Cemetery in the Town of Sherman.
Relatives and friends may gather at the church on Friday, May 27, 2016, from 4:00 pm until 7:00 pm and also on Saturday from 9:00 am until the time of Mass as 10:00 am.
A memorial fund has been established in Carol’s name for Poor Clares Monastery, Adell Senior Center, and Blessed Trinity Parish.
