Obituary for James F Kuether

James F. Kuether, 85, of Oostburg passed away on Saturday, April 23, 2016 at his home.
Jim was born on June 30, 1930 in Milwaukee to Henry and Margaret (Cusick) Kuether. He was a graduate of University High School and received his Bachelor’s degree from Marquette University, Jim served his country in the United States Marine Corps during the Korean War. In 1956 he married Jane Winding and they had four daughters together. Later in life Jim married Louise Lynch. Jim was a life insurance agent for Northwestern Mutual.
Jim attended Lumen Christi Congregation in Mequon and St. John Evangelist Catholic Church in Kohler. He was also a member of the Ozaukee Country Club.
Jim is survived by his wife, Louise; four daughters, Catherine (Craig) Rode of Seattle, WA, Sara (Glen) Irving of Huntington Beach, CA, Ellen (Steve) Klos of Edina, MN and Julie Kuether of Mequon; eight grandchildren, Elizabeth, Anna and Catherine Irving, Charlie and Claire Rode, Sara, Emily and Will Klos; one great grandson, Jameson De Las Casas; one brother-in-law, Robert Dallman. He is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Jim was preceded in death by his parents; first wife, Jane; one sister, Margaret Dallman and one brother, Jack Kuether.
A memorial mass to celebrate Jim’s life will be on Thursday, April 28, 2016 at 11am at Lumen Christi Congregation (2700 West Mequon Road) with Rev. Phillip Schumacher officiating.
Relatives and friends may gather at church on Thursday, April 28, 2016 from 10am until the service at 11am.
A memorial fund is being established for Lumen Christi Congregation or St. John Evangelist Catholic Church in Jim’s memory.
